The luteoviruses are a group of
plant viruses. The virion particle is non-enveloped, the nucleocapsid is isometric and 26-30nm in diameter with icosahedral symmetry. The genome of the luteoviridae are linear positive sense ssRNA ranging in length from 5641bp to 6900bp and replicates within the cytoplasm. The virion particle is linked to a helper virus though replication occurs independently to the helper virus.
